People are weary of the grappling and how it can benefit them especially when they can take an easier martial art like Tae Kwon Do. The problem with this marital art is that it is not effective, most people who participate in this sport are still overweight, and just go through the motions. No Tae Kwon Do artist has ever won a round in an MMA event. So, if you think this sport is working in exercise and self-defense – remember again. Grappling is great of children.
Most kids today are overweight with their ignorant parents shoving down fast foods and high carbohydrate foods down their throats. In addition, these kids are mostly sedentary from playing video games, and not getting exercise at all. If parent want their kids to be more healthy then they have to force their kids to exercise. If constant attention is not given to the habit, then the country will just get more overweight, and companies will open more fast foods to tame the hunger of these individuals.
The art of grappling also gives you the opportunity to use muscles that have lay dormant for years. Using back muscles, legs, and etc., will help the body become healthier and more vibrant with time. Staying with the bait will help your body to get stronger and more fit. This is what the art of grappling can help in conditioning your body over time.
There are not a lot of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu schools in the country, but the ones that are there, you should try a class and give it some time. You will see that with the right attitude, and with a little patience, you will see the benefits not only mentally but physically. Most schools will help you with your endeavors and goals.
