1. Self Defense– The ability to defend yourself. I think BJJ is the best forum of self defense.
2. Exercise- everyone needs to get off the couch and do something lift, run, bike or you can go train to get your heart rate up. Alot of guys are tired of going to the gym and looking for something different.
3. Fun- training is pure fun. It is one of the few places to go where you can only think about not being submitted. This is a great way for people to forget about the probelms of the day.
4. Friends- almost all of my friends are involved in training in one way or another. Being around like minded people is always good for the soul.
I train because it is something that set me apart from everyone else. I was good at this. I enjoyed training. It allowed me a escape from the day to day problems that we sometimes have. I stayed training because it became a part of who I am. So much so that it eventually became one of the largest parts of who I am.
